Property Auctions

Providing an established auction service in the South and West Yorkshire Region, our traditional property auctions have been a characteristic of the firm since its origins in 1845.

We hold a number of property auctions throughout the year which include properties from our Residential, Agricultural and Commercial departments.

Public auctions are a quick and effective method of sale that avoid protracted negotiations, and gives buyers and sellers security over the timing of the sale. It offers a clear and transparent sale process to help demonstrate that best value has been achieved for the property.

Auctions also have the benefit of bringing all interested parties together to bid in a competitive environment, and can result in properties achieving higher prices than when offered by other methods of sale. Once the Auctioneers gavel falls, it creates an exchange of contracts which is binding on both parties, and therefore removes the opportunity for purchasers to otherwise renegotiate terms which could lead to unnecessary delays and problems.

Wilbys has the benefit of specialist departments and various members of each department have been strategically co-ordinated to provide a comprehensive professional service for disposal of property by auction.
